Date: Friday 16 October 2015.
Time: Registration: 6.30pm-7pm. Event: 7pm-9pm.
Event Description: Arguably, until we achieve an effective and sustainable integration of our spiritual and social lives, and of aspects of our practice and modes of active engagement in the world, then we will struggle to achieve either a well-integrated and mature spirituality or genuinely effective, impactful and sustainable social action.

There is an opportunity to develop a more socially and environmentally engaged spirituality aligned to insights from science, psychotherapy, the creative arts, advances in democracy and contemporary social values, and with respect for individual expression and community empowerment.

As individuals, in relation, as communities, as organisations, in governance, or as part of interdependent ecosystems we are being called to bear witness to the challenges and opportunities that we face, with mindfulness, compassion, discernment and wisdom; and to respond to these challenges with ever greater awareness, empathy, concern and solidarity.

It is vital that we have available to us the wisdoms, tools and resources, and practices and processes that support us individually, in relation, and in community to nurture the values, self-awareness, outlook and capacities that will allow us to respond effectively, impactfully and sustainably to such challenges and opportunities.

What is a Well-Integrated Spirituality?, Friday 16 October 2015

Cost: £5/£3 (Concessions).
